A new and reliable source of clean water

Updated: Aug 19, 2020

We are excited and delighted to report that a new borehole was finally sunk during February, and is now at last providing Happy Home with a reliable source of clean water to supplement the rainwater collection facilities previously provided by HHKT which are already in place.

The borehole is already proving a tremendous boon to the health and welfare of the children and young people in our care together with the staff who care for them, finally removing any need for the daily visits to the local river which were needed during times of drought. to supplement their water supply .

Our thanks go to ‘Wellboring’, the UK Charity with whom we have partnered over this project, for their expertise and local contacts in Kenya, and to all of you who have made this possible by your generosity.
