James said that Joseph is making good but slow progress and can now walk around the Compound "not under stress", we assume that means with much less pain than before.
The children are well and all back at school.
They are building another classroom on site next to the one that has just been completed. This will be for Grade 6. They are providing the materials and they will pay the builder a day wage.
Presently they have 251 pupils on the school roll. James says that parents are paying the fees. He also said that it looks as if before too long they will have a two form entry. They have employed another teacher and Grade 4 and 5 students now come in on a Saturday morning from 7.30 to Midday. Parents pay the teacher directly for this additional tutoring and the school is not involved in this extra-curricular activity. The extra teacher is now freeing up the Head of the School to keep on top of all his duties in running the school.
They have had good rains recently and the crops are doing well.
For Prayer:
the secondary school pupils and their Guardian families;
for the children and staff at the school on the site of Happy Home;
for the links between the two trustee bodies and for all UK donors, James sends his thanks for their continuing support;
for the continuing growth of the crops of beans and maize.
