The London Marathon!

At the end of March, we were contacted by Mr Jeet Bhatt who was planning to run the London Marathon in April.  Jeet intended to use the opportunity to raise funds for HHKT. Jeet found us on the Charity Commission search and after looking at our website, got in touch with Martin our secretary. Jeet said that he wanted to support a small charity rather than one of the big ones and had chosen us. He wanted to support us, as we are providing care and support to the children from the Kisumu area, given that he was born in Kisumu, though came to the UK in 1975 and lives in England. 

Naturally we were delighted with the offer of support from Jeet who went on to successfully complete the marathon on the 26^th April 2026. As well as finishing the course Jeet raised a fantastic £1896.45! We have thanked Jeet and all of the donors who supported him to raise this amount.  We will use the money raised to support the secondary education of the children under care.

A huge thank you and well done goes to Jeet and his supporters from us in the UK and our colleagues in Kenya.
