Some of the trustees and the site manager have been visiting some of the children who are with Guardian families. We will receive a report on how the children are in due course.
They have had a good bean harvest but the maize is still in the ground as it is still green and not ready to harvest. James didn't think that it would be as good as previous years,
All children break up from school at the end of this month and have the whole of August off. It is still their hope to have the new classroom ready for the start of the New Academic School year in January. James said that it still needs a roof and internal plastering.
Joseph has had a setback with his recovery. An X-ray showed that one of the pins that had been put in his thigh bone had broken leaving his femur once again misaligned. Despite this, Joseph has been able to get around using his crutches.
For Prayer:
Joseph's leg and the decision of the doctors as to how they take matters forward.
Pray for the children in these last three weeks at school, that they will maintain their commitment to their studies.
Pray for the Guardians who have been given the responsibility to look after an orphaned child.
Pray that the maize harvest might be better than expected.
